Low Carb Crustless Pizza Bowl

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 lb ground Italian sausage (or ground beef)
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce (low-carb)
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1/4 cup sliced mushrooms (optional)
  • 1/4 cup bell peppers, diced (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess grease.

  1. Layer in an oven-safe bowl: Spread cooked sausage, marinara sauce, and half the cheese.
  2. Add toppings: Pepperoni, mushrooms, bell peppers, and seasonings.
  3. Top with remaining cheese and bake for 10-12 minutes until bubbly.
  4. Broil for 2 minutes for a golden cheesy top.

Note: Feel free to customize this pizza bowl with your favorite low-carb toppings like olives, spinach, or jalapeños. For an extra kick, sprinkle some red pepper flakes or drizzle with garlic butter. Using a sugar-free marinara sauce will help keep the carb count even lower. Enjoy!
